The next CC Rack Building Competition will be held at Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition (TPIE) January 20 - 22 at the Broward County Convention Center.

CC congratulates Juan Corro from McCorkle Nurseries for winning our 2014 Rack Building Competition. Juan's winning time of 25.39 seconds was 7.27 seconds faster than last year's winning time.
Josh Flikkema from `Sawyer Nursery’ is the winner of the 2013 Rack Building Contest sponsored by Container Centralen (CC). Josh assembled a 3 shelf CC rack in 32.6 seconds and won a cash prize of $500, as well as a CC-sponsored two day trip to Orlando.
Sawyer Nursery was one of three companies who were selected to compete in the `Rack Building Final’ which took place in Orlando on 21st & 22nd November, 2013. The other companies and contestants were Sunshine Growers represented by Cesar Leal, and Flowerwood Nursery represented by Marquis Johnson. Cesar from Sunshine Growers secured 2nd place with a time of 33.6 seconds, and Marquis from Flowerwood Nursery secured 3rd place with a time of 34.4 seconds. Prize money for the second and third positions was $300 and $200 respectively.
CC arranged the nation-wide rack building competition with the goal of providing CC customers an opportunity to have some `workplace fun’ and to facilitate additional recognition for customer team members who work behind the scenes on rack building, etc. The three fastest contestants were selected to compete in the Orlando Rack Build Final. CC sponsored airfares to Orlando, accommodation at the Hard Rock Hotel, meals, theme park entertainment and prize money for each contestant.
Joel Turk who was also attending from Flowerwood Nursery commented that `the dock employees were very excited about the event, and it was great morale boost for them’.
CC congratulates the contestants from Sawyer Nursery, Sunshine Growers and Flowerwood Nursery for securing their position in the Orlando Rack Build Final, and CC also thanks the many other customers who submitted entries for the contest.
CC’s Sales Director, Brian Lutz noted that `The competition was a great opportunity for relationship building with customers and also highlighted how quickly a CC rack can be assembled’. He added, `Although the speed at which the finalists assembled the CC racks is not something that could be sustained during a normal working day, the event did highlight how easily customers can assemble and work with CC equipment'.
